The main function of the Assistant Event Technician is to provide technical event support to the Event Technician/Manager in the set-up and de-rig of events at locations countrywide. The position is client facing and requires a customer focused approach with the ability to work under pressure while always maintaining a professional standard of service.

Gorilla Design produces large scale events for prestigious clients and brands. We are seeking a highly motivated junior carpenter to assist our workshop team in the building of sets for conferences, trade shows and events.

Duties to include:

• Assisting the workshop team building sets both in our workshop and on-site at events
• Assisting in the construction of wooden sets and props.
  * Painting sets and props.
  * Assisting in the installation of sets on-site at events.
  * Maintaining a clean and organised workshop.

We are seeking an experienced Event Industry Warehouse Assistant to assist our Warehouse Manager managing a busy event industry warehouse. The candidate will need knowledge of the industry and experience with equipment such as staging, lighting and pipe and drape systems.

The Warehouse Assistant will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of goods/stock; coordinate stock picking to ensure accurate load-out/loading and load-ins/unloading are completed efficiently and on time. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate, current stock records, excellent housekeeping standards, and adhering to all required health and safety protocols.

Here at Gorilla Design, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drapes Assistant & Machinist to join our Drapery department. This role demands a strong technical understanding of fabric, pattern drafting, and drapery design with an excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship. Ideal candidate will have a background in theatre, film or events industry.
